The Insurer will pay You up to £2,000,000 for the following expenses which are necessarily incurred as the result of You suffering Bodily Injury or illness and/or compulsory quarantine during the Period of Insurance:
1. Medical, surgical, hospital, ambulance, nursing home and nursing attendance fees and charges incurred outside the United Kingdom (other than the Channel Islands) and outside Your normal country of residence or domicile.
2 Emergency dental treatment for the immediate relief of pain (to natural teeth only) up to a limit of £200 incurred outside the United Kingdom (other than the Channel Islands) and outside Your normal country of residence or domicile.
3 The reasonable additional cost of funeral expenses abroad up to a maximum of £1,500 plus the reasonable cost of conveying Your ashes to Your Home, or the additional costs of returning Your body to Your Home.
4. Reasonable additional transport or accommodation expenses incurred if it is medically necessary for You to stay beyond Your scheduled return date.
This includes, with the prior authorisation of AXA Assistance, reasonable additional transport or accommodation expenses for a friend or Close Relative if deemed medically necessary by a Medical Practitioner, to remain with You or travel to You from the United Kingdom or escort You and additional travel expenses to return You to Your Home if You are unable to use the return ticket.
5. With the prior authorisation of AXA Assistance, the additional costs incurred in the use of air transport or other suitable means, including qualified attendants, to repatriate You to Your Home if it is medically necessary.
Special Conditions
1. Repatriation expenses will be in respect only of the identical class of travel utilised on the outward journey unless AXA Assistance agree otherwise.
2. The Insurer will not be liable for any expense unless immediate notice is given to AXA Assistance or the Insurer of any illness or injury which necessitates Your admittance to hospital as an in-patient or before any arrangements are made for Your repatriation.
3. In the event of Your injury or illness the Insurer reserves the right to relocate You from one hospital to another and arrange for Your repatriation to the United Kingdom at any time during the Trip. The Insurer will do this if in the opinion of the doctor in attendance or the Insurers medical advisors You can be moved safely and/or travel safely to the United Kingdom to continue treatment.
What is not covered
1. The first £50 of each and every claim per incident for each Insured Person but limited to £100 in all if Family Cover or Single Parent Cover applies.
2. Any claim arising directly or indirectly from Your failure to comply with the Important conditions relating to health mentioned on page 8.
3. Any claims arising directly or indirectly in respect to:
a) Expenses or fees for any in-patient treatment or repatriation which have not been notified to and authorised by the Insurer or AXA Assistance
b) Costs of telephone calls, other than receipted calls to AXA Assistance notifying them of the problem
c) The cost of treatment or surgery, including exploratory tests, which are not directly related to the Bodily Injury or illness which necessitated Your admittance into hospital
d) Any form of treatment or surgery which in the opinion of the Medical Practitioner in attendance and AXA Assistance can be delayed reasonably until Your return to the United Kingdom

e) Medication, which at the time of departure is known to be required or to be continued outside the United Kingdom
f) Additional costs arising from single or private room accommodation
g) Treatment or services provided by a convalescent or nursing home or any rehabilitation centre
h) Emotional disorders unless they result in admission to a hospital
i) Treatment after You have returned to the United Kingdom
j) Expenses incurred as a result of a tropical disease where the recommended inoculations have not been undertaken
k) Your decision not to be repatriated after the date when in the opinion of the Insurers medical advisors it is safe to do so.
4. Anything mentioned in the General exclusions.
PA - Death:
The Insurer will pay one of the benefits shown below if during the Period of Insurance You sustain Bodily Injury which shall solely and independently of any other cause, result within one year in Your death, loss or disablement.
Death - up to 15 years old £2,000, 16 years old to 64 years old inclusive - £25,000, 65 years old and over - not covered.

What is covered

cover is also operative during the 72 hours immediately preceding departure on the outward journey. The maximum the Insurer will pay for the following items is:
a. For bank notes currency notes and coins £250.
b. If You are under the age of 16, for bank notes currency notes and coins £50.
c. For all other Personal Money and documents £250.
Special conditions relating to claims
1. You must report to the local Police within 24 hours of discovery and obtain a written report of the loss, theft or attempted theft of all Personal Money and documents.
2. If Personal Money and documents are lost, stolen or damaged while in the care of a carrier, transport company, authority or hotel You must report to them, in writing, details of the loss, theft or damage and obtain written confirmation.
If Personal Money and documents are lost, stolen or damaged whilst in the care of an airline You must:
a. Obtain a Property Irregularity Report from the airline.
b. Give formal written notice of the claim to the airline within the time limit contained in their conditions of carriage (please retain a copy).
c. Retain all travel tickets and tags for submission if a claim is to be made under this policy.
3. Receipts for items lost, stolen or damaged must be retained as these will help You to substantiate
Your claim.
What is not covered

2. Loss, theft of or damage to Personal Money left Unattended at any time (including in a vehicle or in the custody of carriers) unless deposited in a hotel safe, safety deposit box or left in Your locked

4. Loss or damage due to delay, confiscation or detention by customs or other authority.

Cash Advance:0
Legal Expenses:
The Insurer will pay up to £25,000 for, or arrange:
a) Legal costs to pursue a civil action for damages if someone else causes You injury or death during the Period of Insurance.
Where there are two or more Insured Persons insured by this Policy, then the maximum amount payable by the Insurer for all such claims shall not exceed £50,000.
b) A visit by a local lawyer to provide initial consultation if criminal proceedings are brought against You in a court outside the United Kingdom or Your normal country of residence or domicile as a result of any accidental action by You.
c) In the event of an emergency involving potential legal actions, claims or liabilities during the Trip, the Insurer will immediately put You in touch with AXA Assistance, who can provide practical legal advice and assistance.
d) To advance You the amount of any bond required to enable You to provide bail to any judicial authority to secure Your release if You are being detained in order to appear at a court of summary jurisdiction. Any amount advanced must be repaid to the Insurer within three months of the advance being made.
Special Conditions
1. The Insurer shall supervise any legal action through agents the Insurer nominates and will decide the point at which negotiations cannot usefully be pursued further. After that, no further claims can be made against the Insurer.
2. Claims must be notified to the Insurer within 90 days of the event that gave rise to Your claim.
What is not covered
1. Claims when in the Insurers opinion where there are no reasonable prospects for Your success.
2. Claims against a carrier, or the Travel or Holiday Agent or Tour Operator arranging any Trip, the Insurer, Us, AXA Assistance Group, AXA Assistance or their agents.
3. Claims against someone You were travelling with or another person insured under this Policy.
4. Legal action where in the Insurers opinion the estimated amount of damages is less than £1,000, but the Insurer will try to obtain an amicable settlement.
5. Legal costs in respect of actions undertaken in more than one country.
6. Lawyers' fees incurred on the condition that Your action is successful.
7. Legal costs or expenses before the Insurer accepts Your claim in writing.
8. Claims by You other than in Your private capacity.
9. Legal costs until all other insurances providing legal expenses are exhausted.
10. Claims occurring within the United Kingdom or Your normal country of residence or domicile.
11. Anything mentioned in the General exclusions.
Loss of Passport:The Insurer will pay up to £200 for reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses incurred necessarily abroad during the Period of Insurance to obtain a replacement of Your lost or stolen passport.
Loss of Driving Licence:

The amount payable will be the current market value, which takes into account a deduction for wear, tear and depreciation (or the Insurer may at its option replace, reinstate or repair the lost or damaged Ski Equipment).
The maximum the Insurer will pay for any one article, pair or set of articles is £250.

Ski Pack:
The Insurer will pay:
1. Up to £500 for the unused portion of Your Ski Pack following Your Bodily Injury or illness occurring during the Period of Insurance subject to written confirmation from a Medical Practitioner that such Bodily Injury or illness prevented You from using Your Ski Pack.
2. Up to £250 for the unused portion of Your lift pass if lost during the Period of Insurance.

Loss of Ski Pass:The Insurer will pay up to £250 for the unused portion of Your lift pass if lost during the Period of Insurance.
Piste Closure - Total:
The Insurer will pay You up to £30 per day, up to a maximum of £300 for the cost of transport organised by the tour operator to an alternative site if lack of snow conditions or avalanche results in the closure of skiing facilities (excluding cross-country skiing) in Your resort and it is not possible to ski. The cover only applies:
a. To the resort which You have pre-booked for a period exceeding 12 hours and for so long as such conditions prevail at the resort, but not exceeding the pre-booked period of Your Trip and
b. To Trips taken outside the United Kingdom during the published ski season for Your resort. If no alternative sites are available the Insurer will pay You compensation of £30 per day up to a maximum of £300.

a) £250 for any one article, pair or set of articles

2. The Insurer will also pay up to the amounts shown below:
a) £150 for the emergency replacement of clothing, medication and toiletries if the Baggage is temporarily lost in transit during the outward journey and not returned to You within 12 hours, provided written confirmation is obtained and sent to the Insurer from the carrier, confirming the number of hours the Baggage was delayed.
If the loss is permanent the amount paid will be deducted from the final claim paid under Section E
b) £200 for reasonable additional travel and accommodation expenses incurred necessarily abroad during the Period of Insurance to obtain a replacement of Your lost or stolen passport.

What is not covered
1. Unset precious stones, contact or corneal lenses, hearing aids, dental or medical fittings, deeds, manuscripts, securities, perishable goods, bicycles, winter sports equipment and suitcases (unless they are entirely unusable).
2. Cracking, scratching, breakage of or damage to china, glass (other than glass in watch faces, cameras, binoculars or telescopes), porcelain or other brittle or fragile articles unless caused by fire, theft, or accident to the vessel, aircraft or vehicle in which they are being carried.
3. Breakage of sports equipment or damage to sports clothing whilst in use.
4. Business goods, samples, tools of trade, motor accessories and other Items used in connection with Your employment or occupation. But see Section P - Business travel if indicated as operative in Your Schedule.
5. Wear and tear, depreciation, deterioration or loss or damage by atmospheric or climatic conditions, or by moth, vermin, or by any process of cleaning, repairing or restoring, or mechanical or electrical breakdown or derangement.
6. Anything mentioned in the General exclusions on pages 35 and 36.

Special Conditions
1 You must take reasonable precautions at all times to ensure the safety and supervision of baggage, personal money and documents and you should take all practicable steps to recover property lost or stolen. If it is lost, stolen or damaged while in the care of a carrier, transport company, authority or hotel you must report to them, in writing, details of the loss, theft or damage and obtain written confirmation.
If property is lost, stolen or damaged whilst in the care of an airline you must:
a) Obtain a Property Irregularity Report
b) Give formal written notice of the claim to the airline within the time limit contained in their conditions of carriage (please retain a copy)
c) Retain all travel tickets and tags for submission if a claim is to be made under this policy.

3 Loss, theft of or damage to baggage contained in an unattended vehicle.
a) Overnight between 9pm and 9am (local time) or
b) At any time between 9am and 9pm (local time) unless it is in the locked boot which is separate from the passenger compartment for those vehicles with a boot, or for those vehicles without a separate boot locked in the vehicle and covered from view.
4 Loss or damage due to delay, confiscation or detention by Customs or other authority.
5 Anything mentioned in the General exclusions on pages 35 and 36.
Baggage - Delay:The Insurer will also pay up to £150 for the emergency replacement of clothing, medication and toiletries if the Baggage is temporarily lost in transit during the outward journey and not returned to You within 12 hours, provided written confirmation is obtained and sent to the Insurer from the carrier, confirming the number of hours the Baggage was delayed.
Cancellation/Curtailment:
The Insurer will pay You up to £3,000 for any irrecoverable unused travel and accommodation costs and other pre-paid charges which You have paid or are contracted to pay together with reasonable additional travel expenses occurred if:
a) Cancellation of the Trip is necessary and unavoidable, or
b) The Trip is Curtailed before completion as a result of any of the following events occurring during the Period of Insurance:
1. The death, Bodily Injury or illness of:
a) You
b) Any person with whom You are travelling or have arranged to travel
c) Any person with whom You have arranged to reside temporarily
d) Any Close Relative residing in the United Kingdom
e) A Close Business Associate.
Compulsory quarantine, Hijack or jury service attendance solely as a witness at a Court of Law of You or persons with whom You are travelling or had arranged to travel with.
3. Redundancy (provided employment has been on a continuous full-time basis with the same employer for at least 24 months and qualifies for payment under current United Kingdom redundancy payment legislation and at the time of booking the Trip there was no reason to believe anyone would be made redundant) of You or any person with whom You are travelling or had arranged to travel with.
4. The withdrawal of leave for members of the Armed Forces, or employees of a Government Department, provided that such cancellation or Curtailment could not reasonably have been expected at the time of applying for Insurance and that it occurs during the Period of Insurance.
5. Accidental damage to Your Home rendering it uninhabitable or the Police requesting Your presence following theft at Your Home during Your Trip or the preceding seven days.
Special Conditions
You must obtain a medical certificate from a Medical Practitioner and prior approval of AXA Assistance to confirm the necessity to return Home prior to Curtailment of the Trip due to medical reasons.
If You fail to notify the Travel Agent, Tour Operator or provider of transport/accommodation immediately it is found necessary to cancel the Trip the Insurers liability shall be restricted to the cancellation charges that would have applied had failure not occurred.
What is not covered
1. The first £50 of each and every claim per incident for each Insured Person (except loss of deposit which shall be £20) but limited to £40 in all for loss of deposit claims and £100 in all for all other claims if Family Cover or Single Parent Cover applies.
2. Any claim arising directly or indirectly from Your failure to comply with the Important conditions relating to health mentioned on page 3,. Government regulation or Act, delay or amendment of the itinerary, or failure in provision of any part of the Trip (including error, omission, financial failure or default) of or by the provider of any service forming part of the Trip as well as of the Travel Agent or Tour Operator through whom the Trip was booked.
4. Unemployment caused by or resulting from misconduct leading to dismissal or from resignation or voluntary redundancy or where a warning or notification of redundancy was given prior to the date of application for this Policy.
5. Circumstances known to You prior to the booking of the Trip which could reasonably have been expected to give rise to cancellation or Curtailment of the Trip.
6. Airport Departure Duty or irrecoverable payments exceeding £500 for lost excursions.
7. Bodily Injury or illness unless a Medical Practitioner provides a certificate stating that this necessarily and reasonably prevented You from travelling.
8. Bodily Injury or illness resulting from pregnancy where the mother is expected to give birth before, during or within two months of the Trip.

9. Any unlawful act of any person on whom the Trip plans depend.
10. Failure to comply with the terms of the contract with the Travel Agent, Tour Operator or provider of transport or accommodation.
11. Expenses relating to any ownership (part, time share or otherwise) of any land or building.
12. Anything mentioned in the General exclusions .
Missed Departure:
The Insurer will pay up to £600 for reasonable additional accommodation (room only) and travel expenses necessarily incurred in reaching Your overseas destination or returning to the United Kingdom if You fail to arrive at the international departure point in time to board the Public Transport on which You are booked to travel on the initial international journey of the Trip as a result of:
The failure of other Public Transport, or
An accident to or breakdown of the vehicle in which You are travelling, or
Strike, industrial action or adverse weather conditions.
You may claim only under Section I - Missed departure or Section H - Delayed departure, not both.
What is not covered
1. The first £50 of each and every claim per incident for each Insured Person but limited to £100 in all if Family Cover or Single Parent Cover applies.
2. Claims arising directly or indirectly from:
a) Your failure to allow sufficient time for the transport to arrive on schedule and to deliver You to the departure point
b) Strike or industrial action existing or declared publicly on the date this Insurance is effected by You
c) Vehicle breakdown or accident for which a professional repairer's report is not provided
d) Vehicle breakdown if the vehicle has not been serviced properly and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
e) Withdrawal from service (temporary or otherwise) of an aircraft or sea vessel on the recommendation of the Civil Aviation Authority or a Port Authority or any similar body in any country
f) Additional costs where the scheduled Public Transport operator has offered reasonable alternative travel arrangements
g) Terrorist activity
h) Anything mentioned in the General exclusions.
Delay - Max:£100
Travel Abandonment:The Insurer will pay up to £3,000 for any irrecoverable unused travel and accommodation costs and other pre-paid charges which You have paid or are contracted to pay if after a minimum 12 hours has elapsed, You choose to cancel Your Trip.
Personal Liability:
The Insurer will indemnify You up to £2,000,000 (inclusive of legal costs) against all sums You become legally liable to pay as compensation during the Period of Insurance for any claim or series of claims arising from any one event or source of original cause in respect of accidental:
1. Bodily Injury, death, illness or disease to any person who is not in Your employment or who is not a Close Relative or member of Your household.
2. Loss of or damage to material property that does not belong to and is neither in the charge of or under the control of You, a Close Relative, anyone in Your employment or any member of Your household other than any temporary holiday accommodation but in respect of Your occupation (not ownership) only occurring during the Period of Insurance.
3. You must not admit any liability or pay, offer to pay, promise to pay or negotiate any claim without the Insurers written consent.
4. The Insurer will be entitled, if it so desires, to take over and conduct in Your name the defence of any claims for indemnity or damages or otherwise against any third party. The Insurer shall have full discretion in the conduct of any negotiation or proceedings or in the settlement of any claim and You shall give the Insurer all necessary information and assistance which the Insurer may require.
5. In the event of Your death, Your legal representative(s) will have the protection of this cover provided that such representative(s) comply(ies) with the terms and conditions outlined in this Policy.
Special Conditions
1. You must give the Insurer immediate written notice with full details of any incident, which may give rise to a claim.
2. You must forward every letter, writ, summons and process to the Insurer as soon as You receive it.
What is not covered
1. Compensation or legal costs arising directly or indirectly from:
a) Liability which has been assumed by You under agreement unless the liability would have attached in the absence of such agreement
b) Pursuit of any trade, business, profession or occupation or the supply of goods or services
c) Ownership, possession or use of vehicles, aircraft or watercraft (other than manually propelled rowboats, punts or canoes)
d) The transmission of any communicable disease or virus
e) Ownership or occupation of land or buildings (other than occupation only of any temporary holiday accommodation where the Insurer will not pay for the first £50 of each and every claim arising from the same incident)
f) Anything mentioned in the General exclusions.

Emergency Assistance:
Emergency and medical service
Administered by AXA Assistance
In the event of a serious illness or accident which may lead to in-patient hospital treatment or before any arrangements are made for repatriation or in the event of Curtailment necessitating your early return home you must contact AXA Assistance, an organisation specialising in emergency assistance services. The service is available to you and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for advice, assistance, making arrangements for hospital admission, repatriation and authorisation of medical expenses. If this is not possible because the condition requires immediate treatment to save life of limb you must contact AXA Assistance as soon as possible: private medical treatment is not covered unless authorised specifically by AXA Assistance.
Medical assistance abroad
AXA Assistance has the medical expertise, contacts and facilities to help should you be injured in an accident or fall ill. AXA Assistance will also arrange transport home when this is considered to be medically necessary or when you become aware of serious illness or death of a close relative residing in the United Kingdom.
Payment for medical treatment abroad
If you are admitted to a hospital/clinic while aborad, AXA Assistance will arrange for covered medical expenses to be paid directly to the hospital/clinic. To take advantage of this benefit someone must contact AXA Assistance for you as soon as possible.
For simple out-patient treatment, you should pay the hospital/clinic yourself and claim back medical expenses from the insurer on your return to the United Kingdom. Beware of requests for you to sign for excessive treatment or charges. If in doubt, please call AXA Assistance for guidance.
Additional Activities:There is no hazardous activities extension.

General Exclusions:
The Insurer will not pay for claims arising directly or indirectly from:
1. War, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorist activity, revolution, military or usurped power, civil commotion or any similar event.
2. Ionising radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste, from combustion of nuclear fuel, the radioactive, toxic, explosive or other hazardous properties of any nuclear assembly or nuclear component of such assembly.
3. Loss, destruction or damage directly occasioned by pressure waves caused by aircraft and other aerial devices travelling at sonic or supersonic speeds.
4. The failure or fear of failure or inability of any equipment or any computer programme, whether or not You own it, to recognise or to interpret correctly or process any date as its true calendar date, or to continue to function correctly beyond that date.
Exclusion 4 shall not apply to claims made under Section B - Emergency medical and other expenses; Section C - Hospital benefit or Section D - Personal accident.
5. Your pursuit of winter sports unless they are included in Your Schedule under the 'Type of Travel'.
6. The following activities: off-piste skiing without a guide, skiing against local authority warning or advice, ski stunting, ski randonee, 'Free-style skiing', alpine skiing, Nordic skiing (crossbob-sleigh, ice hockey, luge, monoskiing, bobbing, heliskiing, ski acrobatics, ski flying, ski-jumping, ski mountaineering, snowmobiling, glacier skiing, snowcat skiing, snow carting.
7. Your engagement in or practice for manual work in connection with a profession, business or trade, flying except as a fare paying passenger in a fully-licensed passenger-carrying aircraft, the use of motorised two or three wheeled vehicles unless a full United Kingdom driving licence is held permitting the use of such vehicles in the United Kingdom, professional entertaining, professional sports, rugby, racing, motor rallies and motor competitions.
8. Your engagement in or practice for abseiling, boxing, bungee jumping, canoeing at grade 4 or above, caving, canyoning, engagement in or practice for mountaineering requiring the use of guides or ropes, expeditions, fencing, football in a competitive capacity, gliding, gymnastics, hang-gliding, horseriding in competitions, hot-air ballooning (unless as part of an organised trip with a qualified pilot), hunting, jetskiing (Personal Liability only), karate, kayaking, martial arts, microlighting, motor competitions or rallies, parachuting, paragliding, parapenting, polo, potholing, professional sports, racing, rafting, shark diving, skydiving, sky-surfing, underwater activities requiring the use of artificial breathing apparatus (except scuba-diving of less than 15 metres depth) or wrestling.
9. Your wilfully, self-inflicted injury or illness, sexually transmitted diseases, solvent abuse, alcoholism, the use of drugs (other than drugs taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a Medical Practitioner, but not for the treatment of drug addiction), self-exposure to needless peril (except in an attempt to save human life).
10. Your own unlawful action or any criminal proceedings against You.
11. Bodily Injury, illness, sickness, death, loss, disablement, expense or other liability attributable to HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and/or any HIV related illness.
12. Consequential loss of any kind.
13. A Trip or Business Trip from which You are not booked to return within the Period of Insurance.
14. Incidents which may give rise to a claim not notified to the Insurer in writing within 31 days of the end of Your Trip.
15. Operational duties of a member of the armed forces.
16. Your suffering from stress, anxiety, depression or any other mental or nervous disorder unless it has been investigated and diagnosed as such by a consultant specialising in the relevant field.

General Conditions:
1. Duty of disclosure
It is a condition of this Insurance that You have disclosed all material facts to the Insurer. Your failure to do so may affect Your rights under this Insurance. If You are in any doubt about what was material then You should declare it to the Egg Travel Helpline on 08451 222 888.
2. Compliance
You must comply with all the terms, provisions and conditions and endorsements of this Insurance. Failure to do so may result in a claim being declined.
3. Claims
You must notify the Insurer at the address given below, depending on the type of claim:

The notification must be in writing within 14 days of any Bodily Injury, illness, incident or redundancy or within 24 hours of the discovery of any loss or damage which may give rise to a claim under this Policy.
You must also inform the Insurer if You are aware of any writ, summons or impending prosecution. Every communication relating to a claim must be sent to the Insurer without delay. You or anyone acting on Your behalf must not negotiate, admit or repudiate any claim without the Insurers written consent.
You or Your legal representatives must supply at Your own expense all information, evidence, details of household insurance and medical certificates as required by the Insurer. The Insurer reserves the right to require You to undergo an independent medical examination at its expense. The Insurer may also request and will pay for a Post Mortem examination.
You must retain any property which is damaged, and, if requested, send it to the Insurer at Your own expense.
If the Insurer pays a claim for the full value of the property
if it is subsequently recovered or there is any salvage then it will become the Insurers property. The Insurer may refuse to reimburse You for any expenses for which You cannot provide receipts or bills.
4. Dual insurance
If at the time of any incident which results in a claim under this Policy, there is another insurance covering the same loss, damage, expense or liability the Insurer will not pay more than its proportional share.
5. Reasonable precautions
You must take all reasonable steps to prevent and minimise accident, injury, loss or damage and at all times act as if uninsured.
6. Recovery of costs
The Insurer is entitled to take over and conduct in Your name the defence and settlement of any Legal Action. The Insurer may also take proceedings at its own expense and for its own benefit, but in Your name, to recover any payment the Insurer has made under this Policy to anyone else.
7. Fraud
You must not act in a fraudulent manner. If You or anyone acting for You:
- make a claim under the Policy knowing the claim to be false or fraudulently exaggerated in any respect, or
- make a statement in support of a claim knowing the statement to be false in any respect, or
- submit a document in support of a claim knowing the document to be forged or false in any respect, or
-make a claim in respect of any loss or damage caused by Your wilful act or with Your connivance;
Then:
the Insurer shall not pay the claim
- the Insurer shall not pay any other claim which has been or will be made under the Policy
the Insurer may at its option declare the Policy void
- the Insurer shall be entitled to recover from You the amount of any claim already paid under the Policy
- the Insurer shall not make any return of premium
- the Insurer may inform the police of the circumstances.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel this Policy within 14 days of issue by giving Us written notification, in which case You may be entitled to a refund of premium provided no claim has been made and You have not travelled during the current Period of Insurance. The Insurer may cancel this Policy by sending 14 days notice in writing direct to You by recorded delivery to Your last known address.

Excess : Under most sections of the Policy, claims will be subject to an excess. This means that You will be responsible for paying the first part of each claim.

Reciprocal health agreements
European Union If You are travelling to European Union countries You are strongly advised to obtain form E111 from Your local Post Office. This will entitle You to benefit from the reciprocal health arrangements which exist between European Union countries. In the event of liability being accepted for a medical expense which has been reduced by the use of an E111 form or Private Health Insurance, the Insurer will not apply the deduction of excess under Section B - Emergency medical and other expenses.
