Interest Free Purchase Credit Cards
Credit card providers often offer low interest introductory rates on purchases in a bid to attract new customers. Many offer interest free credit on purchases made with the card for anything between 3 months and a year.
By choosing a card which offers 0% interest on purchases for a set period, you have the option to spread payment for items over time and can also avoid the high interest rates charged by some credit and store cards.
Before signing up to a card with an introductory offer on purchases, check how long the interest rate applies for and also what the interest payments will increase to after the low interest period (i.e. the providers? standard APR).
If you have a balance remaining on your card after the low interest on purchases expires, it may be worth looking into switching to a balance transfer card. These often offer additional low interest introductory rates on existing balances transferred from other cards and can provide you with the opportunity to clear what you owe.
